Problem:
A goal for this collaboration is to increase awareness of transportation needs in small cities like Omaha, Lincoln, and Boulder, Colorado.
Designing effective communications to direct people to reflect on the need to reduce carbon emissions, ease urban stress from parking and traffic, and provide enjoyment for commutes and recreation by embracing a bicycle sharing program is the mission of this creative research project.

Brand Statement / Company Overview:
The Boulder Bike Sharing team is launching electric bikes into the current fleet of 300 pedal bikes. With our current system turning a decade old in May 2021 - this is some really big and exciting news for our organization! We want to create a buzz/teaser message to the public to create some mystique around this news. We will continue using our current b/w version logo. This can be created into a vertical use version.

Concepts:
In my designs for this project I wanted to represent both nature and playfulness in the characters chosen and for the colors I wanted to represent nature and earth tones and for the posters I wanted up the enthusiasm and give the poster more electricity inspired color schemes. I think that the people of Boulder will appreciate the playful be character that I've created to inhabit these designs. I hope that through my designs I can get the publics attention and make at least one person double take and maybe even try one of the electric bicycles available to share.

Animations and Social Media:
For these headings or posts most likely posts. I wanted to use expressive lines to show a woman/individual riding their Bcycle. I think the expressive lines represent the joy of cycling.
The drawing of the logo I think adds interest in social media posts. Personally I've found that they work well to draw my attention while scrolling and would like to add background color changes/sliding while the animation/time-lapses is playing.

Design Research
Early iterations. It was too stiff from the get go and fixed it from there.
